We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Ilford, Essex. We offer a permanent 39 hour full time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days from 7 each week. Full time positions require you to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Ages 16-20: £10.95 per hour
  • Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and a simple hello
  • Help customers find the items they are looking for
  • Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
  • Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for customers
  • Work with the rest of the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy

Requirements:

  • A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work
  • Enjoy being busy and flexible – from deliveries to till service to cleaning and stock rotation
  • Reliable – an important part of a small team; colleagues and customers depend on you to do your best each shift
  • Some flexibility with shifts; on rota’s planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside of work are taken into consideration
  • Complete an Employment Verification check if successful and offered the advertised position
