We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Gorleston-on-Sea, Norfolk. We offer a permanent 39‑hour full‑time position working a variety of shifts across 5 days per week. Please note that for full‑time positions we will generally require you to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits

  • Hourly pay rate of £13.61, guaranteed a minimum of 39 hours per week (approximately £530 per week). Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

  • Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
  • Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
  • Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
  • Take responsibility for the control of operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Requirements

  • A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
  • A ‘people person’ who easily builds strong working relationships.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team and customers will depend on you to do your job to the best of your ability at all times.
  • Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry is beneficial, but we would still love to hear from you if you think you’ve got what it takes to take the first steps in a retail management career.
  • To complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if successful and offered the advertised position. These checks will be sent to you via email if hired.
