Retail Assistant – Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We offer a permanent part‑time position with a variety of shifts, including weekends, with a minimum of 12 hours worked over 3 days each week.

Pay & benefits

• Ages 16‑20: £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

As one of our retail assistants you will

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank‑you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of your team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy.

You will need

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• To enjoy being busy, jumping from deliveries to serving on the till, helping customers, and completing cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliability, as you will be an important part of a small team that depends on you for each shift.
• Some flexibility around your shifts; rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and outside commitments are taken into consideration.
• To complete an Employment Verification check if successful.
