We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Ayr, South Ayrshire. This is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 12 hours over 3 days each week, including weekends.

Responsibilities
- Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into the freezers and onto shelves for customers to buy.
- Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Friendly, positive and hard‑working approach.
- Enjoy being busy; ready to jump between deliveries, till duties, shop‑floor help, cleaning and stock rotation.
- Reliable as part of a small team; dependable to perform at each shift and not let the team down.
- Flexible with shifts; rotas are planned three weeks in advance and external commitments are considered.
- Will complete an Employment Verification check if offered. The check will be sent via email and will confirm previous employment against HMRC records.
