Hours: 16 hours per week.

Pay: £13.61 per hour. Guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week, equaling at least £217 per week. Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
  • Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
  • Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
  • Take responsibility for controlling operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly, positive, hard-working approach to work.
  • People-person who finds it easy to get on with everyone and build strong working relationships with team and customers.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, dependable as part of a small team.
  • Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is desirable; applicants beginning their retail management career are also encouraged to apply.
  • Will complete an Employment Verification check and Basic DBS/Disclosure Scotland check if successful.
