Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Senior Business Development Executive to join the team to work on Land Leisure and Tourism, and Farm Business Reporting to the Head of Sales for LLT and FBI, you will play a key role in driving the continued growth of the event through proactive sales activity, new business development and strong account management. This role focuses on identifying new commercial opportunities, building strong industry relationships and delivering revenue growth across exhibition space, sponsorship and partnerships. You will work closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure exhibitors achieve strong ROI from participating exhibitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support revenue generation through the sale of exhibition space and sponsorship
- Conduct outbound sales activity (calls, emails, LinkedIn, meetings) to generate new business leads
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects with a strong focus on new business development
- Qualify inbound enquiries and convert into sales opportunities
- Maintain and develop relationships with exhibitors to support retention and upsell opportunities
- Understand client objectives and present relevant solutions with guidance from senior team members
- Accurately update CRM systems to track pipeline, activity and forecasting
- Attend industry events and meetings to support lead generation and relationship building
- Monitor competitor activity and share insights with the wider team
- Work collaboratively with marketing and operations teams to support exhibitor delivery
Skills & Experience
- Experience in exhibition B2B sales
- Evidence of working towards and achieving sales targets
- Strong communication skills with confidence on phone, video and face-to-face
- Proactive and resilient with a strong work ethic
- Desire to develop new business skills and build a sales career
- Good organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable using CRM systems (or willingness to learn)
- Team player with a positive and collaborative approach
- Interest in agriculture or events industry is desirable
