Accountable to: Directors of Farmer Palmers Farm Park – Phillip Palmer and Sandra Palmer-Snellin
Location: Farmer Palmers Farm Park, Wareham Road, Poole, BH16 6EU
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure the main reception/retail area is ready for business and the day ahead.
- Deal with and respond to internal and external emails.
- Customer Service – Meet and greet customers on arrival and by telephone and email.
- Phones – answer and transfer calls (take and relay messages to team members).
- Till – Cash & card handling Inc. cashing up at the end of the day.
- Post – Collect, open, and distribute to team.
- Send daily admission figures to supervisors.
- Produce documents (invoices/signs).
- Liase with Customer and team members for parties / group bookings / events.
- Politely operate radios to communicate with members of staff.
- Manage a safe working environment to meet company and legislative health and safety requirements.
- Inputting data into spreadsheets.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the job role to meet the needs of the business.
- Deal with ticket purchasing (date changes, cancellations etc.).
Birthday Parties:
- Process new online bookings & liaise with customer ensuring we have all the info required for the day (children’s names, meal choices, answer customer queries).
- Welcome parties upon their arrival (taking balance, ensure they understand party packs, running through eating time/party room & allocated tractor ride time).
Passes:
- Process online orders.
- Deal with pass administration and enter onto system (CAPS).
- Upsell to visitors.
- Pass sales and upkeep of computerised records.
- Deal with any customer questions / queries relating to passes.
Groups:
- Provisionally book in groups & children's parties.
- Deal with form on return with the deposit.
- Liaise with the leader about the booking (any questions they may have).
- Finalise the group on the day and take payment/raise an invoice.
Stock:
- Ensure the shop is clean, tidy and restocked daily.
- Accurately price stock.
- Support team with annual stock take.
Additional tasks/responsibilities:
- Cleaning & tidying the shop and surrounding areas.
- Help to find lost parents or children.
- Process and complete all administration (shop related).
- Returns for faulty products.
Personal Responsibilities:
- To work within company policies and procedures at all times.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers and work colleagues remembering that a smile and happy disposition will make our visitors feel welcome.
- To undertake training for health & safety, GDPR, fire safety & manual handling.
- Compliance with any reasonable requests by Supervisors and the Directors.
