Our busy farm shop is open daily and offers a range of great tasting locally sourced items from a full butchery and deli offer, to fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables, home-made bakes and all the other treats and delights that taste so great. Superb home-made jams and preserves, sauces, dips, oils and every accompaniment you can imagine. Butchery Counter Assistant
to join our busy farm shop team. No previous butchery skills or experience are required for this role. The position will focus primarily on providing excellent customer service, serving customers at the butchery counter and helping to pack and prepare products. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work and would like to become part of a busy, friendly retail environment. For the Butchery Counter Assistant role we are looking for: A friendly and approachable individual who enjoys providing excellent customer service The ability to confidently serve customers and deal with enquiries in a professional manner Helping to pack products and ensuring they are presented to a high standard A keen eye for detail and pride in maintaining excellent presentation standards The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment A positive attitude and willingness to learn A perfectionist when it comes to hygiene, cleanliness and presentation The successful candidate will be/possess: A friendly, enthusiastic and personable individual Flexibility to work every Monday, Tuesday and Friday, plus every other weekend Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills Smart in appearance with high standards Retail or customer service experience would be an advantage Hardworking, honest, reliable and passionate about their work Have sound knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Hygiene, Health and Safety procedures Comfortable working as part of a busy team Able to safely lift, carry and move products as required About You: Enthusiastic and reliable Friendly and confident when speaking with customers Good attention to detail Keen to learn and develop within the role Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service What We Offer: Full support and training within the role The opportunity to learn about butchery and our wider farm shop offer A friendly and supportive working environment Staff Discount (25%) Flexible hours/shifts Health & wellbeing programme (after 12m service) On-site parking Please attach a CV when applying for this position.
