Hours: 30 hours per week
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Poultry Worker to join our team on a busy layers farm. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily care of poultry, collecting eggs and helping to maintain high standards of animal welfare, hygiene and farm management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting eggs and handling them carefully to maintain quality.
- Carrying out feeding and watering as well as daily care and monitoring of poultry health.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the poultry houses and work areas.
- Following farm bio-security procedures and health and safety guidelines.
- Carrying out general farm duties as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working on a poultry farm or in an agricultural environment is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine interest in animal care and welfare.
- Good attention to detail, particularly when collecting and handling eggs.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A practical, hands-on approach to work.
- An understanding of hygiene and bio-security practices is an advantage.
