This is an excellent opportunity to harness and develop your creative skills while working on a variety of design briefs for large, international clients.

About you

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Junior Designer who excels in transforming ideas into engaging digital experiences. You should have a strong portfolio showcasing your flair to design websites, branding and illustration, alongside a basic understanding of UX principles. Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and a knack for producing mobile-optimised, web-ready assets are essential. You should have the ability to work within teams and with clients, turning project visions into reality. The role will allow hybrid working and flexible hours, successful candidates can work remotely, but will be expected to work at least one day a week with the team in our accessible Central London office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Design: Design and develop innovative landing pages, websites, & digital experiences.
  • Multidisciplinary Design: Craft branding, illustration, and other design assets specifically for web usage and digital marketing.
  • Prototyping: Develop graphic prototypes using Figma to showcase concepts and interactions.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with designers, developers, and other colleagues from affiliated companies to develop and finalise design specifications.
  • Client Engagement: Liaise with clients to conceptualise visuals based on their requirements.
  • In-house Design: Consider and develop the Farlo Brand as it continues to grow.
  • Future-Proof Design: Collaborate and support other designers and developers to produce scalable and future-proof design solutions that truly pack a punch.

Requirements

  • Design Excellence: Strong graphic and web design skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Software Knowledge: Proficiency with Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • UI/UX Proficiency: An understanding of UI/UX design methodologies and principles.
  • Design Execution: Proven ability to take designs from concept through to considered, production-ready digital solutions.
  • Prototyping Skills: Experience using Figma to create interactive and dynamic prototypes.
  • Responsive Design: Excellent understanding of web compatibility and designing for mobile.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Portfolio Evidence: A strong portfolio showcasing your creative spark, incorporating (but not limited to) branding, visual identity, and digital design.
  • Agency Experience: Previous experience working in an agency environment.
  • Educational Background: Degree or similar qualification in Graphic Design, UI Design, or UX Design, or at least 2 years of professional experience in the field.
  • E-commerce Experience: Prior experience working on e-commerce websites.
  • Multimedia Skills: Knowledge of video editing, animation, and motion design, with proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro.
  • SEO Awareness: Understanding of SEO fundamentals and their integration within design.
  • Collaboration with Developers: Experience working closely with front-end developers and supporting the team by implementing and visualising design feedback.
  • CMS Proficiency: Experience working with WordPress or similar content management systems.
