Lead and manage all aspects of academic drama and curricula, co-curricular activities, and drama performances across the school. Ensure the offering is exciting, challenging, diverse and innovative. Share teaching throughout the school, including A Level, and work collaboratively with other performing arts disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the LAMDA provision for over 150 students each year.
- Manage the drama scholars programme and support students in professional placements and industry pathways.
- Plan and deliver formal performances (plays, musical productions) and informal performances in collaboration with Music and Dance.
- Organise and oversee participation in external festivals and competitions.
- Support technical aspects of production including lighting, sound, costume and make-up.
- Develop and extend a commercial drama provision for weekends, holidays and evenings.
- Work closely with colleagues to enthuse and mobilise the wider school community for productions and events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Energetic, passionate and entrepreneurial with genuine enthusiasm for drama and theatre.
- Well-qualified across all key stages and experienced in A Level drama teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively across the performing arts curriculum (Music, Dance).
