As part of the Lawfront Group, we combine regional expertise with the support and resources of a growing national legal services platform.

We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Legal Cashier to join the Lawfront Finance team based at Farleys, on a 12-month fixed-term contract at our East Lancs office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal finance professional to contribute to a busy and supportive team environment.

The Role

Working within the Finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm while ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing client and office account transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Handling daily banking activities, including receipts and payments.
  • Processing electronic payments and bank transfers.
  • Performing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
  • Managing client-to-office transfers and other financial postings.
  • Assisting with billing and financial administration tasks.
  • Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and firm policies.
  • Supporting fee earners and colleagues with account queries.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Assisting the wider Finance team with month-end and ad hoc finance activities.

About You

The successful candidate will have

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm.
  • A sound understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.
  • Experience using legal practice management systems, with LEAP software experience highly desirable (but not essential).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Good communication skills with a professional and collaborative approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
