As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking a proactive and detail‑focused Legal Accounts Individual to join our busy Finance team.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in legal finance or a general accounts background who is looking to develop their career within a respected, supportive law firm. You will work within our central Finance team, assisting with a wide range of accounting tasks to ensure the smooth and compliant running of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing client and office account receipts and payments
- Checking and posting bills, credit notes, and write‑offs
- Supporting fee earners with billing queries
- Reconciling bank accounts and dealing with daily banking
- Managing purchase ledger invoices and payment runs
- Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules
- Assisting with month‑end processes and reporting
- Handling finance‑related enquiries from colleagues across the firm
- Help to develop processes within the Finance
- General administrative duties to support the Finance team
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Numerate, accurate, and highly organised
- Confident with financial systems and MS Office (especially Excel)
- A strong communicator with a helpful, professional approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Experienced in a legal finance role (desirable but not essential)
- Familiar with the SRA Accounts Rules (desirable but not essential/training can be provided)
