This is a unique, entry‑level opportunity for a Law Graduate to join one of the top firms in Lancashire as a File Opening Assistant. You will gain exposure to both junior and senior lawyers across the business, learning their working practices, developing client‑facing skills, and gaining valuable insight into how a modern law firm operates.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the collection and verification of client ID documentation and uploading it to the case management system in line with firm procedures
  • Carrying out compliance and due diligence checks in accordance with company policies
  • Ensuring all required information is accurately and fully entered into the case management system
  • Updating case records as new information is received
  • Liaising with relevant departments to support matter progression
  • Supporting the New Business and Client Data Management Teams with the development and implementation of improved file‑opening processes
  • Liaising with third parties regarding transaction or matter details where appropriate

Experience Required

We are seeking an efficient, well‑organised Law Graduate with a proactive approach to their work. You should be confident communicating with colleagues and clients, both face‑to‑face and over the telephone. Strong IT skills with the ability to work comfortably with a range of systems and software are preferred.
