We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic garden volunteers to join our growing team. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in everything we do at Farleigh Hospice.
ROLE
To assist the Maintenance team to maintain the gardens to a high standard.
KEY TASKS/SAMPLE ACTIVITIES
Tasks may include (not exclusively):
- Tending/weeding flowerbeds
- Cutting grass
- Planting and caring for the herb garden
- Maintaining water features
- Planting summer and winter bedding plants
- Tending fruit trees and harvesting fruit
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (equivalent to essential criteria):
Physical ability to fulfill the requirements of the role including safe moving and handling.
For most of our volunteer roles, you donβt need any specific skills or experience, just enthusiasm to get involved and a willingness to support people with a life-limiting illness or bereavement. For all our volunteer roles, full support and training will be provided.
