Farleigh Hospice is a high performing organisation providing specialist palliative and end of life care for people with life limiting illness in the Mid Essex region. Our team at Farleigh has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community we serve and we are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. This role will provide support to the warehouse retail team, and Warehouse Store Manager, by assisting in fulfilling stock requirements, maximising shop profits and developing creative displays for the benefit of Farleigh Hospice. This position covers 2 warehouses selling furniture and clothing. Trading is over 7 days.

Responsibilities:

  • Can work on their own and as part of a team.
  • Driven by sales targets and the challenge of exceeding them.
  • Interested in merchandising items to drive sales.
  • Willing to learn new skills.
  • Physically able to undertake manual handling tasks such as moving stock/furniture.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of working in a customer-facing environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous retail experience required.
