Farillio creates high quality digital resources to help users solve the legal, financial, HR and marketing concerns that come with setting up and running a small business based in the UK, as well as creating content to help landlords and individuals with their day-to-day problems and queries.
We are looking for a dynamic, detail-orientated individual to join our growing Publishing team. This new role is at the heart of creating the timely, relevant and trustworthy content for which Farillio is known.
To do that effectively, the Technical Editor will work closely in a front-of-house role with our team of internal and external experts, as well as the wider Publishing team, to ensure that Farillio’s platform content is created in line with our content priorities and wider strategic objectives. The Technical Editor works closely with these stakeholders to draft, edit and deliver content that reflects Farillio values and the Farillio tone of voice, ensuring that the highest editorial quality is always maintained.
In addition, the Technical Editor will be expected to support the customer service team and collaborate with the sales and partnership teams as necessary on the content needed for pitches, presentations and product launches.
Key responsibilities:
- Ghost-writing content for our subject matter experts Drafting relevant, original, content for the Farillio platform Reviewing technical content for clarity and style Keeping up to date with legal and technical developments and trends and able to record and evaluate their impact on platform content and communications Being the gatekeeper of content risk relating to the accuracy of Farillio content Technical editing and copy-editing Farillio content to our Editorial guidelines, ensuring that all content meets Farillio’s best-in-class standards Occasional proofreading duties as and when required Occasional content uploading, tagging and product design responsibilities as required Giving editorial feedback and advice as and when required to our team of subject matter experts Supporting the customer service team to respond on Livechat Collaborating with the sales and partnerships team on developing content needed for pitches, presentations and product launches.
Essential skills:
- Ideally legal background and/or journalism experience Demonstrable content drafting skills in relevant subject areas Demonstrable technical editing skills Demonstrable copy-editing and proofing skills A keen eye for detail Enjoys taking a collaborative, creative approach to content ideation and brainstorming A collaborative, helpful and diplomatic approach to working with internal and external subject matter experts Flexible approach to working on different types of platform content Experience in a fast-moving publishing environment Experience of working in a growth business
