Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Our Senior Consultants are experienced professionals, who work with a broad range of clients and industries. A Senior Consultant acts as a project manager and is responsible for supporting other Farient professionals by developing client reports, including work plans, proposals, financial and pay-related analysis.

5-8 years experience within Executive Compensation. We would consider broader Reward experience but experience within consulting is essential as part of your career history.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Managing project teams to prepare for Remuneration Committees meetings – this includes drafting papers for the Committee, being the day to day point of contact with the client, understanding decision making by Partners and developing deliverables
  2. Draft and refine reports and Remuneration Committee papers, supporting the design of solutions with guidance from senior leads. This may include benchmarking, incentive design, remuneration policy reviews, reviews in light of IPO or M&A activity, and regulatory reviews
  3. Develop a detailed knowledge of client’s and prospective client’s business, financials, and pay programmes and stay up to date with their requirements and queries
  4. Maintaining broad knowledge of executive remuneration space, trends in the market over a variety of sectors
  5. Proactively managing client delivery schedules, including managing work processes to meet deadlines and keeping colleagues informed of progress
  6. Participate in client meetings, including joining the client lead for executive and director interviews and client review meetings
  7. Build relationships with clients at the appropriate levels as needed to gain credibility, obtain data and input, and deliver insight
  8. Assist in marketing and selling initiatives which could include taking the lead on or assisting with intellectual capital development e.g. writing, articles, or blogs
  9. Train and support analysts, including allocating work to analysts. Peer reviewing work produced by analysts to support the firm quality standards through careful fact-checking, and quality control
  10. Work closely with staff in their training and development, providing individual feedback and coaching to achieve overall business goals
  11. Draft detailed client reports and deliverables and contribute to strategic thinking, including thought leadership pieces
