The Company
A family run successful dairy and mixed farm business with 800 acres for the arable side.
The Job Role
The Arable Operator will be focused on the cereals β sowing, spraying and harvesting, also silage work. There may also be support required at times with the livestock, moving cattle and young stock.
Location: North East Scotland
Salary Package
For a 40-hour week circa Β£15/hour, depending on experience, + overtime
- On farm, 3-bedroom semi-detached accommodation
Key Responsibilities
- Tractor and machinery operations for all arable operations, particularly the spraying
- Silage work
- Drilling and cultivating
- Digger/drainage work
- All aspects of harvest work
Candidate Skills And Experience
- Must have previous experience in operating farm machinery, at least 3+ years
- Proven experience of full arable operations and spraying
- Will need PA1 and PA2 Sprayer Tickets
- GPS Skills
- Workshop Skills With Welding Experience Desirable
- Digger and drainage experience
- Drilling and cultivating experience
- A strong attention to detail
- Basic maintenance and understanding to look after tractors and machinery
- Ability to manage own workload and spray sheet
- Flexibility to support with a variety of jobs when required
Personal Attributes
- Livestock handling experience desired but not essential
- Be a good team player
- Pro-active and can-do attitude
- Enthusiastic

- Ability to work overtime hours when required
