Digital Content and Design Contractor

The Contractor will create engaging, educational and commercially effective content for Wolsey Hall Oxford, Wolsey Hall for Schools and Pamoja. Working with the Senior Marketing Manager for B2C, the Marketing Manager for B2B and the wider marketing team, the Contractor will turn agreed briefs and campaign concepts into high-quality visual, video and document-based content.
These are primarily hands‑on and creative services. The Contractor will not be responsible for setting channel strategy or independently planning and managing campaigns but will bring strong creative ideas and an understanding of what performs well across different platforms.
Overview of core services
- Create static and video content using Canva and Adobe applications. Experience creating animated GIFs, simple motion graphics and other lightweight animated assets beneficial.
- Develop editable Canva templates and documents that the marketing team can reuse on a self‑service basis.
- Design assets for websites, email, organic social, paid advertising, presentations and events.
- Produce video content from concept to final edit.
- Create paid social content for Meta, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, contributing ideas based on platform best practice.
- Adapt content into the formats and sizes required for different channels and campaigns.
- Create materials including brochures, prospectuses, course guides, case studies, reports, infographics, presentations and event collateral.
- Repurpose interviews, webinars and long‑form recordings into short‑form video and social content.
- Apply the relevant brand guidelines consistently across all three brands.
- Prepare print‑ready artwork when required.
- Make amendments accurately and efficiently following feedback.
- Supply well‑organised files in both editable and final formats.
Skills and experience
The Contractor should have:
- Strong experience using Canva and Adobe applications.
- Experience creating reusable Canva templates for non‑designers.
- Strong graphic design and visual communication skills.
- Experience producing and editing video content.
- Experience creating paid social assets for Meta, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- An understanding of how creative requirements differ by platform.
- Experience producing both B2C and B2B marketing content.
- Experience designing longer‑form materials such as brochures, reports, prospectuses and presentations.
- Strong attention to detail and brand consistency.
- The ability to interpret briefs, incorporate feedback, contribute ideas and manage several deadlines at once.
Experience within education, international schools, homeschooling or another complex service‑based sector would be beneficial. Experience using HubSpot or social scheduling platforms would be useful but is not essential.
Time allocation
This is a self‑employed contractor position commencing as soon as possible. The engagement will require a time commitment of up to a maximum of 200 hours over an initial two‑month period.
Subject to the progress and requirements of the project, there may be an opportunity to extend the engagement beyond the initial 200 hours. Any additional services will be discussed and agreed upon towards the end of the initial engagement period.
These services are subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references and internal safeguarding checks.
