Initially offered as a 6‑month fixed term contract, this position offers the potential to transition into a permanent role, following a successful contract period and subject to business needs. This role is designed to provide additional business development capacity during peak sales periods. The Business Development Consultant will support the achievement of financial year targets across Pamoja and Wolsey Hall for Schools by working flexibly across the Business Development team, in accordance with the needs of the business.

The successful candidate will contribute to new business acquisition and revenue growth by supporting the wider Business Development team across Pamoja and Wolsey Hall for Schools. They will work collaboratively with colleagues, help progress opportunities, engage schools through a consultative sales approach, and provide capacity to ensure consistent momentum from initial engagement through to close and handover. Acting as a trusted advisor, this role focuses on strengthening team delivery, covering priority activities, and enabling continued progress across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary commercial point of contact for new and existing business across Pamoja and Wolsey Hall for Schools
  • Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition and expansion (upsell and cross‑sell) activities
  • Identify and pursue cross‑sell opportunities across International Baccalaureate and Cambridge school markets
  • Maintain consistent and high‑volume engagement with schools via calls and email campaigns
  • Support business development efforts across multiple markets, providing flexible coverage in line with team priorities
  • Ensure accurate tracking and management of opportunities/pipeline within HubSpot
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Admissions, School Services, and Academics to support successful deal closure and onboarding
  • Support retention and continuity by maintaining strong relationships and ensuring a smooth handover to delivery teams
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in business development, account management, or a commercial role (education or software‑as‑a‑service preferred)
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • Excellent consultative and solution‑based selling skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised with strong pipeline and customer relationship management discipline
  • Proactive and results‑driven, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
