We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented intern to support our M&A strategy team in London. You will be a core part of a project to identify, screen, and prioritise potential acquisition targets across the global education technology market. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility - your analysis will directly inform decisions made at the senior leadership level.
This is a three-month internship with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Screen and evaluate a pipeline of ~1,500 edtech companies against Faria's M&A criteria, including customer segment, geography, product fit, and revenue scale.
- Shortlist companies for outreach, drawing on desk research across company websites, LinkedIn, and AI tools.
- Conduct personalised LinkedIn outreach to senior contacts at high-priority target companies on behalf of the executive team, scheduling introduction meetings for successful communications.
- Maintain and update an acquisition pipeline tracker based on your outreach, flagging patterns, and insights across geographies and product categories.
- Support ad hoc research and analysis tasks as the project evolves.
- Undergraduate or recent graduate in Business, Economics, Finance, International Relations, or a related field; MBA students are also welcome for part-time placement.
- Strong research and analytical skills with high attention to detail and clear written English.
- Comfort reading and synthesising incomplete or conflicting information is essential.
- Proficiency in Excel and LinkedIn; familiarity with AI tools, including Claude or Gemini.
- Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, or market research is strongly preferred.
- A genuine interest in education technology and/or international schools; personal experience of an international school environment (e.g. IB, British International, or American International) is a plus.
- Ability to attend our London office between Bank and Monument stations at least two days per week.
