We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented intern to support our M&A strategy team in London. You will be a core part of a project to identify, screen, and prioritise potential acquisition targets across the global education technology market. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility - your analysis will directly inform decisions made at the senior leadership level. This is a three-month internship with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen and evaluate a pipeline of ~1,500 edtech companies against Faria's M&A criteria, including customer segment, geography, product fit, and revenue scale.
  • Shortlist companies for outreach, drawing on desk research across company websites, LinkedIn, and AI tools.
  • Conduct personalised LinkedIn outreach to senior contacts at high-priority target companies on behalf of the executive team, scheduling introduction meetings for successful communications.
  • Maintain and update an acquisition pipeline tracker based on your outreach, flagging patterns, and insights across geographies and product categories.
  • Support ad hoc research and analysis tasks as the project evolves.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or recent graduate in Business, Economics, Finance, International Relations, or a related field; MBA students are also welcome for part-time placement.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with high attention to detail and clear written English. Comfort reading and synthesising incomplete or conflicting information is essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel and LinkedIn; familiarity with AI tools, including Claude or Gemini.
  • Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, or market research is strongly preferred.
  • A genuine interest in education technology and/or international schools; personal experience of an international school environment (e.g. IB, British International, or American International) is a plus.
  • Ability to attend our London office.
