THE ROLE
The position is based full-time in the Browns flagship boutique located on Brook Street, Mayfair.
Our stockroom team works collaboratively and seamlessly to fulfil the customer experience from start to finish, going above and beyond for both our store and customers, bringing our customer journey to life and supporting Browns on our mission to be the coolest multi-channel boutique in the world.
Working within the Customer Experience team, you will manage our inventory and ensure that our supply chain operates smoothly.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing merchandise.
The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mind, excellent organisational skills, and experience with inventory management software
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Inventory Auditing & Accuracy
- Coordinate and complete stock audits to prevent and minimize the level of discrepancies.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts (cycle counts) and reconcile them with systemic records to identify discrepancies or shrinkage.
- Investigate and correct stock variances across several branches.
- Monitor stock levels daily to ensure they align with business needs and sales forecasts.
- Receiving & Order Processing
- Oversee the receiving of deliveries, verify the quantity and quality of items, and log them into the inventory system.
- Receive deliveries for shopfloor product and customer requests: check deliveries, process physical stock, update systems, put away all stock in the correct place, and communicate with relevant departments as required.
- Manage returns of all old stock back to the warehouse according to agreed guidelines and set timeframes.
- Stockroom Operations & Daily Management
- Ensure the stockroom is organized efficiently, maintaining clear labels and safe storage practices.
- Monitor the stock-flow between the distribution centre and the store.
- Support the Stockroom Team in the delivery of administrative work, including running and replenishing online orders.
- Process Improvement & Strategy
- Monitor and improve existing processes across the business to maintain stock accuracy.
- Implement new processes with the Stock Room team to reduce the number of issues.
- Liaise with the Stockroom Manager to create action plans focused on avoiding stock loss.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure all stock-related procedures are consistently followed.
- Data Reporting & Query Resolution
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of inventory and generate weekly and monthly inventory reports for management.
- Oversee time-efficient investigations for online order queries regarding missing stock.
WHO YOU ARE
- Previous stockroom experience, preferably in a stock controller function.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential
- Experience using software such as Storm, D365, Shopify (preferred)
- Able to manage tasks independently but also work closely to support your team, building strong relationships across the boutique with all teams including Personal Shoppers and Loss Prevention.
- Collaborative, flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities, prioritising customers at all times.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- Able to communicate clearly in written and oral form.
- Able to problem solve and multitask.
