THE ROLE
The Social Media Lead will play an integral role in the brand marketing team. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative social media strategies to drive engagement, increase brand awareness, and foster community across various platforms.
You are a self-starter who proactively loves sharing new ideas, as well as a deep knowledge of social media and a finger on the pulse of all things social. You will have a deep understanding of how social trends, formats and behaviours impact marketing/communications efforts and be able to confidently create and implement for them.
You will collaborate closely with fashion, creative, influencer and brand partnerships teams to deliver best in class social across all Farfetch marketing campaigns and Browns social channels.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Social Strategy: support the Head of Creative to develop and maintain comprehensive social media strategy across FARFETCH and Browns social channels.
- Channel management: lead all social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engaging content.
- Social content planning: lead on implementing an organised social calendar, collaborating closely with the creative, editorial and fashion teams to manage and plan commercial and cultural social moments throughout the year as relevant.
- Creator Content and Casting: Identify, recruit and commission social content creators/talent to create social-first content for Farfetch social channels, including casting creators/talent for our own campaign shoots.
- Projects: leading from a social perspective on commercial and cultural projects as relevant, working closely with wider teams including creative, editorial, wider marketing and external agencies.
- Team Management: fostering and developing the Social Media Writer Reporting: Supporting the business as required on compilation of regular reporting on weekly, monthly and quarterly social media analysis and performance.
- Converting data performance into useful insights and learnings.
- Finance admin: raising POs, invoicing, supporting on budget tracking.
WHO YOU ARE
- Must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of leading social media trends and techniques with an interest in creative innovation across key channels including Instagram and TikTok.
- An obsessive attention to detail and a track record of operating in a fast-paced environment and being able to deal with ambiguity is essential.
- A team player who demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn; enthusiasm and time management is a must as are excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt, interpret, prioritise and deliver actions promptly with a sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to work reactively with flexibility when required within a fast-paced environment.
- A keen interest in the fashion industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience in cultural and engagement driven talent across social, focused on luxury fashion.
- Degree level education, preferably in marketing or fashion.
