The Senior Commercial Projects Analyst will report to the Head of Commercial Planning & Projects, and be the primary point of contact for analysis and reporting relating to key commercial projects. You will partner with business stakeholders to build reporting and analyse performance trends to inform business decisions and drive actions to ensure projects stay within pre-defined guardrails. Additionally you will be responsible for supply pricing, and developing strategic levers to optimise this. Your work will directly feed into finance outlooks, so that topline and bottomline impacts are captured and tracked. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead on various supply-side incentives, including commercial rebates on key constrained supply, financial products for partners to better manage cash flow and broader commission rate negotiations.
- Work with Supply Partnerships team to assess partner pain-points from a commercial perspective - this could range from operational processes, payment terms, or margin challenges.
- Develop strategies to address those pain-points, enabling the unlock of attractive supply and achievement of full parity from our supply partners, supporting their execution on an ongoing basis.
- Set targets and measure performance of these incentives, ensuring they continue to deliver on objectives and drive the expected return on investment.
- Monitor progress of key strategic projects, owning the tracking of supply-side margins and working with partner-facing teams and internal finance and pricing teams to optimise them.
- Actively involved in the scoping of new business initiatives, particularly on ensuring financial guardrails are met while delivering a compelling proposition for our supply partners to make the project a success.
- Develop and lead on programme-level KPI tracking from a Commercial POV, unpicking drivers of performance and working with various teams to improve performance.
- On an ongoing basis, conduct analysis to understand how these projects impact Farfetch margin evolution through the season so we can better define our strategy and plan our business going forward.
- Fill analytical gaps in various commercial areas, aligned to business needs.
- Leverage your breadth of knowledge across different areas of the business, and depth of expertise in various performance and financial metrics, to help dig into particular areas where there is a business need.
- This could include supporting ongoing forecasting/planning needs, as well as new projects that the commercial team will embark on and requiring cross-functional knowledge and analytical capabilities to facilitate.
