The Commercial Planning function at Farfetch is a growing team of commercial and technical experts working to manage the Farfetch marketplace supply, demand, and broader Trading proposition. The team collaborates with stakeholders across the business to understand drivers of trading performance, minimise risks, and maximise trading opportunities across different time horizons. We partner with global brands and influential boutique curators to bring customers an unrivalled range of fashion, empowering their individuality. Our London office is located in Old Street, London’s tech hub, and is home to a wide range of teams. The open space is ideal for collaborative work and sharing ideas. We also have a large outdoor terrace, a perfect spot for team lunches or events.
The Senior Planning Analyst will report to the Senior Commercial Planning Manager and be the primary point of contact for analysis relating to trading performance and expectations. You will provide high-impact insights, leveraging robust data and strategic thinking, to influence key decisions that enhance general trade performance. You will work closely with colleagues from Finance, Marketing, Merchandising, and Product to build strong relationships and maintain alignment across teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead high-priority commercial analysis, framing hypotheses and delivering actionable, data-driven insights
- Maintain a comprehensive view of the business, connecting supply, brand/category performance, marketing, promotions and customer behaviour, to accurately unpick performance drivers and their impact on topline
- Partner with a variety of stakeholders to formulate actions to manage trading risks or opportunities, and facilitate decision-making among senior leaders
- Manage and evolve commercial forecasting models, integrating risks, opportunities and strategic initiatives into a robust topline outlook
- Continuously monitor trading performance, investigate deviations, and deliver clear, data-driven insights during weekly trade reviews
- Design and maintain automated reporting to monitor key performance metrics across areas, ensuring data accuracy and reliability
Who You Are
- Highly commercially minded, with experience in Ecommerce, Analytics or Consulting
- Advanced forecasting and modelling experience
- Thrives in a fast-changing environment; comfortable shifting priorities as business needs evolve
- Experience working with a range of stakeholders, including senior management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to structure and transform commercial inputs into numbers
- Technical skills for processing and analysing large datasets: Required Excel (advanced) and proficiency in SQL/BigQuery
- Understanding and passion for e-commerce and the fashion/luxury industry is a big plus
