The Role
The Interim Merchandiser will be responsible for delivering revenue, intake and sell-through targets for their department, across all channels, in line with the Browns vision. You will be able to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideally able to start as soon as possible.
What You'll Do
- Strategy & OTB Management: Partner closely with the Buying team to build and execute annual strategies and Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets in line with Browns' KPIs.
- In-Season Trading: Analyse weekly departmental performance and leverage key trading levers to drive revenue.
- Inventory & Intake Control: Strategically manage intake and stock flow to ensure we hit revenue and stock turn targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other functions to drive multi-channel revenue.
- Markdown Management: Own the end-of-season markdown process for your department.
- Process Improvement & Upskilling: Act as the voice of merchandising on ad-hoc projects to optimize the product lifecycle.
Who You Are
- Proven experience operating at a Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser level, ideally within a luxury, premium, or fast-paced multi-brand fashion retail environment.
- Deep, hands-on experience managing a WSSI (Weekly Stock & Sales Intake).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is essential for daily analysis.
- Self-motivated and take true ownership of your department.
- Commercial thinker with exceptional analytical capabilities.
- Highly proactive, accountable, and focused on finding solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Able to prioritise seamlessly and stay structured amidst shifting priorities.
