Our people are at the heart of everything we do. Together we are here to make a difference and to spread kindness. We welcome differences, empower individuality and celebrate diverse skills and perspectives, creating an inclusive environment for everyone.

We support Browns to maximise commercial opportunities through effective management of Browns inventory, driving sales and profit through improved trading and planning, and we do this by supporting all channels across our store, brownsfashion.com and Farfetch.

Our London Head Office is based on Old Street, London's tech hub; our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideals. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host an event. We also have a home in the form of our retail boutique at Browns Brook Street in Mayfair.

The Interim Merchandiser will be responsible for delivering revenue, intake and sell through targets for their department, across all channels, in-line with the Browns vision. You will be able to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract, ideally able to start as soon as possible.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Strategy & OTB Management: Partner closely with the Buying team to build and execute annual strategies and Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets in line with Browns' KPIs. Proactively manage and trade OTB in-season to maximize commercial opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • In-Season Trading: Analyse weekly departmental performance and leverage key trading levers to drive revenue. Lead the reorder process to ensure 100% availability of key styles.
  • Inventory & Intake Control: Strategically manage intake and stock flow to ensure we hit revenue and stock turn targets, ensuring a stellar assortment in our boutiques.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other functions to drive multi-channel revenue, specifically partnering with Farfetch to optimize the Browns product offering on their platform.
  • Markdown Management: Own the end-of-season markdown process for your department, working closely with wider teams to clear stock efficiently while protecting profit margins.
  • Process Improvement & Upskilling: Act as the voice of merchandising on ad-hoc projects to optimize the product lifecycle, and play an active role in training and upskilling the wider merchandising team.
