ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic Finance Business Partnering Manager (Senior Manager, depending on your experience) to really drive our financial performance forward. This is a key role, and we need someone who can easily connect finance and strategy. You will need to jump between digging into the data and working closely with senior leaders on big-picture business projects. The ideal candidate will blend a strategic, long-term view of the business with a sharp eye for detail, helping us manage both the daily financial tasks and our larger financial goals effectively. As Finance Business Partnering Manager, you will collaborate with senior functional leaders and serve as a catalyst for converting complex financial and operational insights into concrete, measurable actions, driving superior performance and profitability across the FARFETCH Group.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Financial Performance Management (FPM): Lead the complete FPM cycle—including robust budgeting, forecasting, and detailed variance analysis—for your functional areas. This involves translating operational goals into clear, actionable financial roadmaps.
  • Data-Driven Decision Enablement: Use analysis and data visualization to provide unbiased, actionable insights for strategic initiatives as well as operational and trading decisions. Deliver timely analysis and recommendations on financial implications.
  • Cross-Functional Strategic Partnership: Build relationships with senior functional leaders (e.g., Tech, Ops, Commercial) - embed finance in daily operations to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Performance and Profitability: Champion objective resource allocation, continually challenging for maximum ROI and accelerated profitability.
  • Continuous learning & an eye for automation: Standardize financial management via standardizing reporting and focusing on key financial and operational KPIs. Embrace automation and process improvement to prioritize high-value analysis and strategic business improvement.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. An advanced certification (e.g., MBA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA) is a significant plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in standard financial modeling, reporting and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, PPT). Working knowledge of analytical and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Looker) is a strong plus, supporting the data-driven focus of the role.
  • Financial Expertise & Ownership: Extensive, proven experience in P&L ownership, financial modeling, and leading the full Financial Planning & Management (FPM) cycle (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis). Prior experience in Retail, Technology, or e-Commerce is a significant advantage.
  • Strategic & Detail-Oriented Mindset: Possess a strategic long-term vision for the business while maintaining acute attention to detail, and effectively managing immediate operational and financial challenges.
  • Commercial Acumen & Influence: Exceptional commercial acumen with a strong track record of translating financial data into actionable business strategies. Must be able to influence senior stakeholders and strategic decisions, focusing on long-term sustainable growth.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: A strong team player with demonstrated people or cross-functional leadership skills. Ability to effectively communicate and align with non-Finance teams (Tech, Operations, Commercial).
  • Results-Driven & Resilient: Highly self-motivated and resilient, driven to deliver tangible results, process improvements, and cost optimization in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with competing deadlines.

REWARDS & BENEFITS

  • Employee Pension Scheme
  • Flexible Benefits Program
  • Health Insurance & Critical Illness cover
  • Flexible work environment- Hybrid Model (3 days a week from the office, 2 days from home)
