Our company is hiring for a staff member to start from the beginning of September.
To work for Fareham\’s Dog Daycare you will need to be confident, committed, responsible, caring and reliable. You need to have a passion for dogs, be presentable with good communication skills. Someone with industry experience would be preferred.
You must love dogs of all sizes, breeds, temperaments and enjoy working outdoors. We have an indoor and outdoor area however you will still be out in all weathers. You will get slobbered on, you will have to pick up faeces and do lots of cleaning. If any of this doesn\’t appeal to you, please do not apply. The dogs can be unpredictable at times, you are not just sitting and cuddling dogs all day.
Apart from the obvious perk of working with a bunch of fun loving dogs and very friendly, chatty people, loyalty is rewarded and to keep spirits high, we have regular social outings and treats, because it\’s our team that sets us apart.
You will be working within a team to supervise, stimulate, engage and provide enrichment to the dogs at Fareham\’s Dog Daycare. This role involves bonding with the dogs and being creative with games to stimulate them. You will be feeding and interacting with dogs of all ages and also cleaning and tidying.
Our business hours are between 07:15am to 18:00 Monday to Friday, you will work an average of 7.5 hours per day within this time period. Starting on national minimum wage. You will be asked to sign a contract for a minimum of three months so please do not apply if you cannot commit to this length of time.
Your own transport or the ability to get to Fareham\’s Dog Daycare, 17 Bridge Industries, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 8SX is an absolute MUST.

Skills
- Applicants preferred have prior experience working or volunteering in a professional environment with dogs. Details of this must be shown on your application
Or Relevant qualifications relating to animals (at least a level 2 diploma or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills.
Desired qualifications GCSE (or equivalent) grades A*-C/9-4 in English and maths are desirable but not essential
