About The Role
We’re looking for Ride-on Mower Drivers to help maintain and improve parks and open spaces within the Borough of Fareham.
As part of a team you will:
- Maintain grass in ourparks, along road verges and play areasfollowing a set route
- Clearleaf-fall from open space areas
- Inspect sites and let your supervisor know of any problems you spot
- Sweep, collect and remove litter, rubbish and animal waste
- Use a smartphone to complete simple electronic records, inspections and work-related information
- Assist with a range of gardening and grounds maintenance duties, including pruning, weeding and general upkeep of shrubs and hedges.
The working hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm on Fridays.
About You
You will need to have a full, validUKdriving licence.
Full training for the Ride on Mower will be provided to the successful applicants.
You will have a mature attitude and able to work without close supervisionand communicate with our customers in a professional way.
It's important that you have the ability to get on well with your teamand have a steady and methodical approach to work.
