Could you play your part in managing a busy and diverse caseload in an innovative, thriving and fast developing Partnership? Located in beautiful South Hampshire, the Building Control Partnership has recently expanded and works predominately in the Portsmouth, Fareham, Havant and Gosport areas around Portsmouth Harbour.
As the largest Building Control service in Hampshire, we have an interesting and challenging workload including BSR MDT membership together with a strong mix of Partner companies and a very high market share for all other types of construction projects. This is an exciting new opportunity created due to the continued success of the Partnership.
You will work on all types of major and minor projects from initial enquiry to completion. As well as mentoring and guiding colleagues, you’ll also be hands‑on in applying Building Regulations and public safety legislation. That will include carrying out site inspections, producing site reports of work in progress and working in partnership with clients and the public. Working collaboratively with other teams, you will champion and market our services that are built around the needs of customers and achieving highly compliant outcomes.
Ideally you will be professionally qualified, with solid experience of working unsupervised up to 2F registration level together with comprehensive knowledge of Building Control legislation. We would also consider candidates with a lower level of registration starting at level 2A, and can provide comprehensive training, development and mentoring for the right person.
Just as important is an understanding of the importance of delivering excellent services. You’ll also share our dedication to providing consistently high quality in everything we do through collaborative interaction, great people skills and working proactively on your own initiative. Good ICT skills, a full, valid driving license and a flexible approach to working hours are also essential.
We aim to attract, develop and retain the very best people to deliver our services and will agree a tailored personal development plan with you to allow you to maintain and improve your registration level. In return, you would be joining an award‑winning Partnership focused on meeting the demands of the continuing changes affecting the Building Control system.
We offer an attractive package including a great pension scheme, authorised parking, generous training budgets, a car lease scheme and a mix of working flexibly from our stand‑alone office and remotely from home or site. We take great pride in receiving feedback from others who say we are a friendly, flexible and professional organisation.
If you’re keen to progress your career – and you relish the challenges of the future – we look forward to hearing from you.
