This role is responsible for investigating potential breaches of planning control and then deciding on the appropriate course of action to resolve any breaches that are found. You will also have the opportunity to deal with a small caseload of planning applications.
Your work will be undertaken both in the office and throughout the Borough, so a full driving licence and suitable means of transport is required.
You should be customer focussed with excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of internal and external customers.
You will need a confident and pro-active attitude supporting others in their decision making and positively representing the Council when decisions have been made.
Relevant experience in investigating breaches of planning or dealing with planning applications and providing planning advice will be an advantage.
