We are seeking a Procurement Officer to support the delivery of compliant, efficient procurement across the Council. Working closely with the Procurement Manager, you will provide advice to colleagues, support tender processes, and help ensure public funds are used effectively and transparently.
You will play a key role in delivering procurement activity, supporting tender exercises, maintaining the contract register, and advising managers on procurement routes and contract management. You will work across a range of services, ensuring compliance with legislation including the Procurement Act 2023, while helping to improve processes and achieve value for money.
You will have a relevant procurement qualification with some practical experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload. You will be a confident communicator with good attention to detail, able to build effective relationships and provide clear, practical advice.
