Job Description
Are you an experienced Roofer with a strong background in roofing repairs and maintenance, flat and pitched? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established property maintenance contractor for a permanent Roofer to join their growing team in Fareham. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Roofer looking to work within a supportive organisation delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance to residential properties. You'll be part of a professional team committed to exceptional workmanship, customer service, and health and safety standards. You must have flat and pitched roofing experience, working in social housing, schools, and other commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections to identify roofing defects and determine the most effective repair methods on all aspects of roofs.
- Complete repairs and maintenance on flat, pitched, tiled, and slate roofs.
- Deliver all work to a high standard, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity targets are met.
- Complete job documentation accurately using handheld devices or paperwork.
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when working in occupied homes.
- Work flexibly to support operational requirements and service delivery.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 in Roofing Occupations or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of three years' roofing experience, ideally within social housing or property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, repair techniques, and industry best practices.
- Ability to accurately diagnose roofing issues and recommend suitable repairs.
- Good communication skills with experience using mobile devices or PDAs to manage workloads.
- Well organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
- PASMA or TETRA training would be advantageous.
Additional Requirements
- Successful applicants will be required to pass a DBS check before employment.
- Provide 2 x sources of references.
