Join FARA, a charity with over 30 years of experience and 39 charity shops across London. Our Richmond shop is looking for a dedicated Music Volunteer to support our team in researching, sorting, and preparing donated vinyl records, CDs, and other media for sale. By volunteering with us, you’ll play an important role in improving the quality of our music section, uncovering hidden gems, and supporting our commitment to reuse and a sustainable circular economy.
The Role: As a volunteer, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Researching vinyl records, CDs, and other media to identify value and demand
- Identifying rare, collectible, or high-value items
- Pricing and organising items appropriately for sale
- Assisting with creating attractive displays within the music area
- Organising and maintaining an engaging and well‑presented music section
- Assisting with other shop activities when needed
The Volunteer: We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for music, vinyl records, and/or media collecting
- Has good attention to detail and enjoys researching information
- Is friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic
- Is reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of artists, genres, or collectible media is a plus, but not essential

Your Time: Our shop operates from 10:00 to 18:00, and we’re looking for someone who can volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours either in the morning or afternoon, whenever you are available in arrangement with the shop manager.
