Gen Re is seeking a qualified Pricing & Research Actuary to join our London Life & Health team. In this challenging and rewarding role, you’ll work across multiple life insurance product lines—serving Gen Re and our diverse client base. You will manage client pricing relationships and partner closely with colleagues in the UK and other Gen Re offices to drive our strategic objectives.
Position Responsibilities
- Delivery of quotes for individual and group reinsurance business, including setting pricing assumptions, securing approvals, and generating premium rates.
- Perform experience analyses to monitor Gen Re’s portfolio performance and inform pricing decisions.
- Provide risk management insights to support product and process development.
- Resolve technical issues, provide expert support, and nurture strong client relationships.
- Strengthen Gen Re’s position as a thought leader through active client engagement, industry involvement, publications, and public speaking.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Gen Re offices to advance broader business objectives.

- Technical Expertise & Professional Knowledge: Qualified actuary with deep experience in UK and Irish individual/group protection markets and reinsurance pricing. Advanced MS Excel skills; familiarity with VBA, SQL, R, or similar statistical/programming tools.
