The predicted salary is between 66976 - 72773 ÂŁ per year.

This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro‑rated to your contracted or ordinary working hours; these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme. This scheme recognises the role that key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements to attract and retain staff in these areas.

The new hospital features 19 inpatient beds and a modern emergency department, including two resuscitation bays. The Wentworth Local Government Area is home to approximately 7,500 residents, with around 1,500 living in the township of Wentworth. Nestled at the junction of the Murray and Darling Rivers, Wentworth offers a relaxed lifestyle with all essential amenities. Just 30 km away is the vibrant regional centre of Mildura, which provides a wide range of shops, services and is only a short 45‑minute flight to Melbourne, 2 hours to Sydney or a 4½‑hour drive to Adelaide.

What You’ll Be Doing

Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, provide safe, compassionate, person‑centred care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve quality care outcomes for patients and clients.

  • Current endorsed Enrolled Nurse registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Demonstrated application of evidence‑based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person‑centred care.
  • Demonstrated capacity to identify and resolve conflict situations by managing own emotional responses and interacting with others in a personable and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
  • Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
