Job Title: Staff Writer – Entertainment News
Location: Remote
Position: Full-Time, Wednesday – Sunday 9am – 6pm

Role Overview: As a Staff Writer for our News section, you\’ll be at the heart of our editorial team, responsible for reporting on a wide range of entertainment-focused news. You’ll write multiple articles per day, helping to grow the News section of all of our major categories, such as Music, Film, Art and Travel. Your work will help shape the voice of Far Out Magazine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write daily news articles across a variety of sections.
- Provide grammatically correct and media-law-conforming news articles.
- Be on top of the most interesting newlines and stay ahead of competitors.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and work with the editorial team to help broaden subject areas.
- Maintain the brand identity of Far Out while providing accurate and reliable coverage.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of professional writing experience, preferably within the media.
- Newsroom experience is highly desirable.
- WordPress fluent.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines.
- Strong understanding of the entertainment landscape.
- Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
