Littleover Nursing Home offers exceptional long-term and respite care services, accommodating up to 40 elderly residents in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Most of our single rooms come with the added convenience of an en-suite bathroom. Originally a Victorian home, our facility has undergone tasteful extensions and conversions, blending modern comfort with timeless charm.

The Clinical Registered Manager is responsible for the overall clinical and operational management of the nursing home. The post holder ensures the highest standards of person-centred care are delivered in a safe, effective, and compassionate manner, in full compliance with the CQC's fundamental standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities:
  • Clinical Governance: Ensuring all care services meet the required standards, which includes maintaining a high level of clinical care and adhering to the home's policies and procedures.
  • Leadership and Staff Management: Leading, managing, and inspiring the clinical team. This includes recruitment, training, supervision, appraisals, and managing rotas to ensure the correct skill mix and staffing levels.
  • Resident Care: Overseeing the day-to-day care of residents, from initial assessments to ensuring that care plans are individualized and promote resident independence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Acting as the official point of contact for the CQC and ensuring the home meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Business and Resource Management: Managing budgets, contracts, and essential resources such as medical supplies and PPE. Maintaining business compliance, including health and safety standards, is also a key part of the role.
  • Liaison and Communication: Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, their families, staff, and other external professionals.
Essential skills and experience:
  • Valid NMC Pin
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Registered Manager essential
  • Strong clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
  • Experience in assessing care needs.
  • Ability to manage staff, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations for care homes in England.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
