About the role:
We manufacture a wide range of high-quality chilled products for our dedicated customers at our sites. Our production lines are non-stop, so you’ll be kept busy creating our products. Working right at the heart of our fast-paced, high-pressured environment, you’ll enjoy plenty of variety, be encouraged to find where your strengths lie and supported to achieve your full potential.
Site Services Maintenance Operative - Days duties may include:
- Taking part in office administration tasks and team coordination
- Health & Safety monitoring in the area
- Check and record incoming goods against delivery notes
- Provide samples for the Quality Controllers while unloading the vehicle
- Move pallets to a designated location using an electric truck/forklift
- Load and unload vehicles using an electric pallet truck
- Preparation of goods for transportation
- Receiving, unloading, and checking of deliveries
- Replenishment of end-of-line, despatch and logistics areas with crates, pallets, and other goods as required
- Counting of stock
- Transferring and disposal of materials
- Monitoring of areas (including despatch, de-box, loading bays and perimeter) for required temperatures
- Cleanliness of above areas; ensuring high GMP standards
- Completion of machinery start-up checks
About you:
- Relevant Logistics/Stores/Despatch experience, which has ideally been within the food-manufacturing or warehousing environment
- Counterbalance and Reach FLT licence
- Excellent Numeracy and Literacy skills and experience with documentation and administration
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent team working skills to effectively collaborate with other members of the warehouse team
- Flexible approach to work and hours
- Good communication skills
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of warehouse systems favourable
