🎯 The Role

We’re looking for a Database Administrator (PostgreSQL / AWS RDS Specialist) to own the performance, reliability, and scalability of Fanvue’s database infrastructure as we continue to grow. You’ll be the in-house authority on PostgreSQL and AWS RDS — the “last line of defence” when it comes to keeping our platform fast, stable, and resilient at scale. This is a senior role with high impact, directly underpinning the performance, uptime, and user experience of Fanvue.

🚀 What You’ll Do

• Optimise and maintain large-scale PostgreSQL databases running on AWS RDS.
• Monitor database health, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement durable fixes.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve query/index performance.
• Implement observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and pganalyze.
• Guide engineers on database best practices and contribute to long-term architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to ensure stability, scalability, and resilience.

👀 Who You Are

• A senior-level DBA with proven experience running production PostgreSQL databases at scale.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL internals, AWS RDS configuration, migration, and optimisation.
• Calm under pressure, confident when guiding others, and pragmatic when solving high-stakes problems.
• A reliable point of authority with an ownership mindset — accountable for the health of Fanvue’s databases.
• Strong communicator who can explain complex database concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Prisma or other ORMs.
• Familiarity with observability tools like CloudWatch and pganalyze.
• Exposure to IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, etc.).
