Fanvue has passed $200M in annual recurring revenue with triple-digit year-on-year growth. We're an AI-powered creator monetisation platform supporting hundreds of thousands of creators and millions of fans. Behind the product is a finance function that needs to be as fast and reliable as the platform itself.

We're hiring a Bookkeeper to own the financial foundation, the day-to-day transaction processing, coding, and reconciliations that everything else in finance is built on.

Why this role exists

We've reached a scale where bookkeeping can no longer sit with outsourced accountants or be absorbed by the CFO. Our embedded finance advisors told us directly: at this volume of transactions, it needs to be in-house. As we scale, our close cadence and reconciliation processes need to tighten. The person in this role will own that shift, not by building something flashy, but by being relentlessly accurate, every single day. This is the infrastructure role. Everything else in finance, reporting, forecasting, investor diligence, depends on the work you do being right.

What you'll do

  • Own day-to-day bookkeeping across Xero and Pleo (coding transactions, processing invoices, chasing down vendor context, and ensuring every entry lands in the right place)
  • Move bank reconciliations from weekly to daily, working towards a t+1 timeline on the books
  • Manage expense categorisation across Pleo, where the bulk of our transaction volume flows through
  • Prepare month-end journals and support the close process so the finance team can produce reliable numbers, fast
  • Partner closely with our FinOps lead on invoicing and vendor relationships (shadow initially, then run independently)
  • Work with external accountants who will support onboarding and review work as you ramp up
  • Stay focused on core bookkeeping (revenue recognition, statutory compliance, VAT, and audit sit with senior finance and external accountants)

What we're looking for

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with cloud accounting software (ideally Xero)
  • Experience with expense management tools (Pleo, Spendesk, or similar)
  • Proven track record processing high volumes of transactions, comfortable working through messy reconciliation data
  • High attention to detail, you spot mis-coding and you chase the answer
  • Fintech, marketplace, or payments experience is a strong plus
  • Accounting firm background with a desire to go in-house can be a great fit
  • Qualifications are not the filter (ACCA/CIMA not required, AAT or equivalent is a nice-to-have)

Why Fanvue

You'll join a small finance team where your work has immediate, visible impact. When the books are clean, the whole company moves faster, leadership gets reliable numbers, investor conversations go smoothly, and the finance team can focus on the work that grows the business instead of fixing the basics. This is a startup that's scaling fast, but this role is about stability, not chaos. We want someone who's happy owning bookkeeping long-term, not someone looking to pivot into something else in six months. If you want one client, consistent work, and the satisfaction of knowing the numbers are right because of you, this is it.

You'll thrive here if

  • You find genuine satisfaction in a perfectly reconciled bank statement
  • You're proactive, you chase people for answers instead of waiting
  • You want to own one thing and do it exceptionally well
  • You're comfortable in a startup where things move fast around you, even if your work is methodical
  • You like the idea of being the person the whole finance team depends on

You'll struggle if

  • You're looking for a stepping stone into management or strategy
  • You get bored doing the same core work consistently
  • You need heavy supervision or detailed instructions for every task
  • You're not comfortable working with high transaction volumes daily

Fanvue is for everyone. What matters to us is potential, mindset, and what you'll bring. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or age. The best teams are built on diversity of thought, background, and experience, and we mean it.
