Fane Valley Feeds is one of the largest feed companies in Northern Ireland with manufacturing facilities in Omagh and Newry. With one of the most modern animal feeds mills in Europe, Fane Valley Feeds is committed to producing the highest quality feeds for our customers. We now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Ruminant Nutritionist.

The Role: Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, the Trainee Ruminant Nutritionist will be responsible for providing technical advice and support to customers on ruminant nutrition, diet formulation and feeding practice to maximise milk production and live weight gain.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Have a degree level qualification in agricultural or animal science (or equivalent);
  • Possess sound knowledge of the Northern Ireland agricultural industry;
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills;
  • Experience in Customer Support;
  • Be IT literate;
  • Have the ability to work on their own initiative and within a busy team;
  • Show attention to detail and be able to prioritise a busy workload;
  • Have a full current driving licence valid in the UK.
