Fane Valley Feeds is one of the largest feed companies in Northern Ireland with manufacturing facilities in Omagh and Newry. With one of the most modern animal feeds mills in Europe, Fane Valley Feeds is committed to producing the highest quality feeds for our customers. As part of our ambitious growth strategy, there is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Trainee Feed Advisor at our Omagh Mill.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Trainee Feed Advisor will be responsible for maximising existing business and developing new business within the sales area.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Applicants must possess sound knowledge of the Northern Ireland agricultural industry;
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills;
  • Experience in Customer Support;
  • Be IT literate;
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative and within a busy team;
  • Show attention to detail and able to prioritise a busy workload;
  • Have a Full UK Driving Licence.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • A Third level qualification in an agriculture related discipline, 2025 Graduates welcome;
  • Possess a sound knowledge and experience of ruminant production and nutrition;
  • Good practical dairy cow and cattle livestock skills as well as a full knowledge of the major drivers affecting the dairy, beef and sheep industries;
  • Previous relevant on farm sales experience.
