We now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Ruminant Nutritionist at our Omagh Mill. Ruminant Nutritionist Job Ref No: FVF/RN/01/25 The Role: To provide customers and the sales team with technical advice and support on ruminant nutrition, diet formulation and feeding practice to maximise milk production or daily live weight gain; Assist with the development evaluation of feed additives, concepts and the development of the Fane Valley Feeds product range; To provide training and ensure the sales team are up to date with the latest research and best practice on feeding to maximise production and health of ruminant livestock. The Person: Have a degree level qualification in agricultural or animal science (or equivalent); Possess sound knowledge of ruminant production systems and nutrition; Preferably have previous experience of providing advice to farmers; Ideally have previous experience working as a Ruminant Nutritionist and the formulation of feed plans and diets; Demonstrate excellent communication skills; Be IT literate; Have the ability to work on their own initiative and within a busy team; Show attention to detail and be able to prioritise a busy workload; Have a full current driving licence valid in the UK.
