We now invite applications for the following position based at our Omagh office.
Reporting to the Company Accountant, the Assistant Accountant will provide a key role in assisting with the production of accurate accounting information for the Finance team and analysis of monthly results for the business in general.
The Role:- Assist and co-ordinate finance team in preparation of monthly management accounts;
- Posting monthly journals and preparing general ledger reconciliations;
- Carry out variance analysis v budget and investigate/explain variances;
- Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support decision making;
- Responsibility for compliance (VAT & statutory returns);
- Assist in the preparation of the information required for the year end audit and annual budget.
- Will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role;
- Must possess third level finance/business qualification or equivalent;
- Must have strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel;
- Excellent administration and analytical skills, organised and able to prioritise workload;
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a busy team;
- Ideally have experience of operating computerised accounting software.
