The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all production activities are completed in line with defined quality and food safety specifications;
- Carry out routine quality and food safety checks, including weekly hygiene audits;
- Collect, prepare, and submit product samples to external laboratories for testing;
- Conduct internal audits in accordance with BRC, customer, and company standards;
- Maintain and continuously improve site quality systems, including SOPs, supplier management, specifications, and internal audits in line with HACCP and legal requirements;
- Assist in the investigation of non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions;
- Review, maintain, and update the Quality Management System (QMS), supporting the implementation of a cloud-based QMS.
The Person:
- A minimum of one year's experience in a food manufacturing or quality control environment, or a relevant third-level food qualification;
- Working knowledge of BRC, Tesco and other retailer standards;
- The ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision and work as part of a team;
- Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Have excellent attention to detail and maintain accurate, well-organised records.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Internal audit trained, with experience conducting internal audits;
- HACCP Level 3;
- Experience of online traceability systems.
