FANBOD is entering a new creative phase, and we are looking for a Senior Fashion Designer to help shape the direction of our womenswear collections. This is an opportunity to bring a strong creative vision to a growing brand and develop distinctive, considered pieces from initial concept through to sampling.
The Role:
Working closely with our founder and Product Director, you will lead design concepts and build cohesive collections that reflect FANBOD’s evolving identity. You will combine creative ambition with an understanding of fit, construction and commercial appeal across both woven garments and knitwear.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, colour palettes and a clear design direction.
- Design womenswear across dresses, tops, trousers, outerwear and knitwear, creating a balanced and cohesive range.
- Research and select fabrics, yarns, trims and finishes that support the design vision and development requirements.
- Creating clear and understandable Tech packs and CAD drawings
- Produce clear sketches and design details, and work with the team to ensure CADs and technical packs accurately communicate each style.
- Collaborate with pattern cutters, technicians and suppliers throughout development, attending fittings and refining designs through to sample approval.
- Work within agreed timelines and target costs, maintaining a clear handover of designs and development information.
What we are looking for:
- Experience at senior designer level within contemporary or luxury womenswear, supported by a strong portfolio.
- A distinctive creative eye and an understanding of silhouette, proportion, colour and fabric.
- Strong knowledge of both woven garments and knitwear, including materials, construction and development processes.
- The ability to turn ideas into clear, technically considered designs and communicate them confidently to the development team.
- An organised, collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership in a growing brand.
- Availability for three days per week and frequent travel to London for meetings, fittings and collection reviews.
What we offer:
Competitive rates, a three-day working week with flexibility, and a remotely based role with regular opportunities to collaborate in person in London. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to FANBOD’s creative direction as the brand grows.
